But prophesies are never crystal clear, and besides, no one has to DO anything to make a prophesy come true. It's God's prophesy and He'll make it come true, so there is no need to pour the USA's resources into making a prophesy happen.

(2) Favoring one people over another based on race or bloodlines is a kind of reverse-racism, and insofar as you hurt one people to help another based on race, it is also regular racism.

(3) Most importantly, being pro-Palestine doesn't mean you have to be anti-Israel. BOTH ISRAEL AND PALESTINE CAN PROSPER SIMULTANEOUSLY. It would take some years to mend decades of conflict but it is absolutely possible, and I think the U.S. is getting in the way.Qwertiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04595705428290721343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16362348.post-44372538557283491772009-02-18T09:29:00.000-08:002009-02-18T09:29:00.000-08:00Oddly, my brother got into a little semantic snit ...Oddly, my brother got into a little semantic snit about antisemitism last year. He thought that since Jews are a race, we should use "racism" instead of inconsistently using a special term for Jews, but not for African-Americans, Asians, etc.

But the reason most Americans are pro-Israel is because most are Christian, and Israel has to be a nation for the Biblical prophesies to be fulfilled. It seems that the part about the stars falling to the ground would have clued them in that it's all BS, but I know they like to filter and rationalize and pretend that it all makes perfect sense (I know, I used to be like that until some straw broke the camel's back and I came out of denial).zooplahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05844705158556362240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16362348.post-76498019063091487912009-01-21T18:08:00.000-08:002009-01-21T18:08:00.000-08:00Er, what underlying question is that?I dunno, mayb...Er, what underlying question is that?

I dunno, maybe I've been watching too much Daily Show (the other day Jon Stewart.. or his guest... was celebrating dissent in America, or something. Blast my memory!) but I know the founding fathers wanted very much to safeguard freedom to criticize government, and I thought Americans in general recognized that such criticism is perfectly fine... but it's been quite some time since I lived in the US.Qwertiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04595705428290721343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16362348.post-65462194601139689872009-01-20T08:31:00.000-08:002009-01-20T08:31:00.000-08:00Interesting post. I want to better the world and am working towards that goal.
You say: "If one criticizes the American government, are they labeled anti-American?'. Well, actually, yes! This is the understanding of authority, democracy, and divine appointment that many, if not most Americans have. Most of my friends from USA see criticism of the government, the president, or any authority as deeply disturbing and cannot understand our our British penchant for speaking against our leaders.
The rest of the argument works back into your rationale and gives the answer to your underlying question.Andy Mayburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01884667133480166916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16362348.post-41970629543431665582009-01-10T04:10:00.000-08:002009-01-10T04:10:00.000-08:00A dear friend, your heading of the diary " fight p...A dear friend, your heading of the diary " fight poverty" is noble but the life is very cruel, there are various obstacles: religious, rich, colours of a skin and many of anothers. I doubt about goodness in the world. I understood your plan and nobleness.amike PiotrPiotrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00957786652526309411noreply@blogger.com
